Color Theory Class December 8th 1-4pm

Color Theory Class December 8th 1-4pm

$45.00

Have you ever made something where the colors didn’t quite seem right, but you couldn’t figure out why? Maybe you’ve turned a painting into mud because you kept trying to find that perfect green. Having an “eye for color” can often be seen as a magical gift that you either have or are lacking. However, color follows a simple set of principles, known as color theory. Once you master these principles, you will be able to wield color to control the tone, mood, and harmony of your paintings and crafts.

This 3-hour class, taught by local artist Sasha Glinski, will be a blend of lecture, demo and hands-on application to explore the concepts of color theory. We will be using acrylic paint to practice these principles that can then be applied to any visual art or craft. No experience required, and beginners are welcome and encouraged.

Sasha Glinski is a visual artist fascinated by the ever-changing landscapes of central New York. As the Scenic Charge Artist of the Glimmerglass Festival, she leads a team of talented artists in bringing designers’ visions to life on stage. In her fine art work, she uses oil and acrylic media to capture light through the lens of memory. Her work can often be found at the Cooperstown Art Association and the Cooperstown Farmer’s Market.
